A moltitude of initiatives (moltitude is also the theme of the 6th edition) involving more than 200 exhibitors, 469 guests and almost 200 talks throughout the weekend: a show of variety, from the most engaged interventions, as Pesto alla genovese by the photoreporter Luciano del Castillo, who shot one of the most iconic photos of the 2001 Genoa G8, to the beautiful series Le parole delle canzoni in which Treccani plots the evolution of our societies through a selection of songs by contemporary songwriters...
The fourth edition of Book Pride kicks off at Superstudio Maxi from 4 to 6 March for a weekend entirely dedicated to independent publishing...
At times, taking a break is a plus, new ideas can appear in a flash. This is what happened to Book Pride, which, in its third edition, was cut short in the first months of 2020. Just a year after the First Pandemic, a brand-new pool of entrepreneurs founded the Book Pride Association. They scrapped the idea of a traditional stand-based fair and instead created a place for sharing, where independent publishers could find their oasis, able to freely meet without being overshadowed by big publishers...

This is the text that appears on our LED portal, all red S.O.S.:"The congress and events industry is a driving force for productivity and exports, driving tourism by generating an induced amount of about 65 billion euros with a direct impact on GDP of 36.2 billion euros / year, employs 569,000 people: now it is fighting for survival ”

It was born right here, at Superstudio Più in via Tortona, ten years ago and it has immediately been regarded as the most important fair dedicated to photography and moving image. The coronavirus cancelled the celebration of the tenth anniversary, but MIA will be back in March more important and beautiful than ever in the new astonishing spaces of Superstudio Maxi, in via Moncucco.
“It is a sort of homecoming - states Fabio Castelli, patron of the fair together with his daughter Lorenza- “The first editions of MIA Photo Fair took place at Superstudio Più in the Tortona area, the well-known Design District of Milan. Since then, our relationships with the Superstudio Group have remained excellent. We started to deal with the Borioli family, owners of Superstudio, a few months ago, before the start of the renovation of SUPERSTUDIO MAXI, evaluating together which could be the possible synergies between MIA Photo Fair and Superstudio Events, entity which manages all the events of Superstudio Group. Furthermore, pushing towards wider scenarios, we feel that this new site has great potential and we think, with good hope, that the Famagosta district of Milan can quickly become one of the centres of photography in Milan, as far as the Tortona area has been for design"...

Hybrid events, digital events, new attitudes for meeting management. These are the themes that agencies, locations, planners, creative people of the world of events deal with newfound enthusiasm. And that can renew live communication. Superstudio is already ready with its GoLive project.

Women are increasingly becoming the protagonists of events and are, today, even more central to our political, cultural and social scene. Even at this critical moment, many well-known or less-known female figures are emerging, but often their role is not yet recognized as key.
The role of women and the valuable contribution that many of them have made and will continue to make to our events has been reflected in Superstudio for some time.
A few months ago Superstudio launched the first call of its kind for the project DD - Donne e Design (Women and Design), a special exhibition designed for the next edition of the Superdesign Show, a real tribute to women’s creativity, that is also the theme launched by the City of Milan for 2020, with the schedule "2020 Creativity. The talents of women".
Just looking at the most recent productions hosted in the spaces of Superstudio Più in recent months, we observe many female personalities, each one, in her own way, central in events of international standing.
This is the case, for example, of Brenda Bellei Bizzi CEO of the White Show...
"Man on the Moon” exhibition will be the protagonist in June, it recalls the Ghost Book theme, a new editorial and multimedia project on Italian art photography, founded by Giorgio Racca. Pier Paolo Pitacco, art-director and well-known artist at Superstudio for his numerous collaborations, in charge of graphics and contents explains: “Ghost presents original and uncommon stories, alternating great names and emerging young ones. The number 5 volume, just like the exhibition, is indeed dedicated to the 50th anniversary since the Moon landing. About ten authors describe their personal vision of the satellite with their photographs. An evocative and fascinating exhibition and a step to create a community that shares research of quality and that finds itself in a class publication”.
If the exhibition arranged by Oroblù, lingerie and hosiery leader, was meant to celebrate its thirty years in collaboration with Giovanni Gastel and Flavio Lucchini that resulted in an exhibition combining the photographer’s magical clics with the art work splendours by the artist, just finished in MyOwnGallery, is to a book curated by Gisella Borioli, that Oroblù asks to immortalize the magical encounter and thank all those who have contributed and participated to the success of the company and event. “Inspiration” is a precious publication, with golden cover, in limited edition, presents inside a little slipcase, that marks a new Oroblù path towards palpable renovation and placement in the highest and most yearned for category of the market. With works by Lucchini and famous poets’ quotes that highlight the feminine beauty.
