Mixology Week (14-19 March) and its calendar of Milanese appointments for shaker lovers is about to kicks off, concluding with the Mixology Experience. Back for the third time in the halls of Superstudio Maxi is the event for professionals and the simply passionate and curious who want to discover the novelties of an expanding and constantly evolving sector.
Literature has become a motive for in-depth analysis, dialogue and comparison, and it does so starting with the theme 'What we want' of the VIII edition of Book Pride, the literary event promoted by ADEI - Associazione Degli Editori Indipendenti (Association of Independent Publishers), in collaboration with the Municipality of Milan and the Patronage of the Lombardy Region, which with 200 publishing brands, over 1. 000 square metres of books and 550 guests from Italy and around the world and a special curator and author, basketball superstar Gigi Datome, confirmed it as an important cultural venue where, through writing, but not only, major issues of social and political interest are explored.
Milan becomes the hub of art and culture with the return of (un)fair, the non-fair fair of contemporary art, which will take place at Superstudio Maxi from March 1st to 3rd. In its third edition, the event celebrates the theme of desire and the intimate human aspiration to satisfy needs and pleasures. The promotional campaign by Rooy Charlie Lana indeed stages the theme of identity, the body as a performative act, and hidden desires. Waiting for visitors are 60 galleries with works ranging from the concept of anti-desire to the unknown with Ilaria Fasoli. From January 24 to 30, Designer's Dream, an exhibition culminating in a pro bono auction by Christie's on the evening of the 30th, makes available to everyone sixteen extraordinary sculptures created by prominent names in design. These sculptures can enhance representative spaces, hospitable venues, and perhaps the beautiful homes of Milanese residents. One could be for you, dear reader.
It is time to draw conclusions on the recently concluded 2023 tennis season. There is great anticipation for the ATP AWARDS, which will be staged tonight in the Superstudio spaces. Among the categories, the Most Improved Player of the Year nominees include Jannik Sinner, Matteo Arnaldi, and Americans Ben Shelton and Christopher Eubanks. This traveling exhibition, traversing cities such as Paris, Milan, London, and Berlin, shines a spotlight on industry trends, not limited to denim alone. The Itinerant Exhibition of International Master's & PhD Programs, QS World Grad School Tour, returns to Milan, building on the success of previous editions. This event offers an opportunity to navigate through the numerous Italian and international university offerings, putting graduates in direct contact with representatives from the most prestigious institutions.
The workshop organized by QS, Quacquarelli Symonds, will kick off on October 16th at Superstudio Più.

Evaluations? At least a total of 200 visitors forming a truly heterogeneous audience, with a significant presence of young people, but also of families. The youngest of all: Damiano, ten years old, who "accompanied his mother", as he himself was keen to point out and who, letting himself be involved little by little, was finally very pleased: "But this sir is so talented!".

Exactly 21 years ago, in 1991, I organized the first great photographic exhibition at Via Della Spiga in Milan for Giovanni Gastel, at the time a very young and excited collaborator of “Donna”, the magazine whose I have been editor in chief for years. Now Giovanni is not here any longer, but both the regret and the memory remain of a brilliant artist who returns to via della Spiga in Milan thanks to an open air exhibition, "Flower", curated by Denis Curti, from 20 September to 4 October.
The floral theme had often been contemplated by me together with Giovanni Gastel, while he was carrying out his artistic research which he began at a very young age, in 1982, especially on our two most important magazines of those years, “Donna” and “Mondo Uomo”. This topic came back a long time later, after I left the publishing world, even if not toatally, so I decided to evaluate this subject for a tradition breaking exhibition in my new Myowngallery at Superstudio Più, where I experimented contrasting artistic languages in different mixes.
Speaking about contemporary art starting from flowers seemed then an oxymoron. Those were times when cultivated photography and avant-garde art did not deal with romantic themes. They were not looking for beauty, but rather for provocation, politics, shock. I did not wanted anything of all that for this first exhibition which in my intentions should to look beyond, rescuing beauty and also romance and elegance.
MuseoCity is a non-profit association that has been working since 2017 for the promotion and enhancement of the great Milanese, regional and national museum heritage. IMA, Italian Mission Awards, a well-established and sought-after appointment by all Business Travel industry. The initiative begins a competition, but mostly highlights the most important operators of the field and top travel managers who will be judged by an independent jury. The forthcoming edition, the seventh, will be hosted in September at Superstudio Più.
We wanted a summer location, as after the long months of lockdown we really wanted to celebrate outdoor the top value community such as the travel business one. We wanted a secure and well-established venue in the Milanese landscape of venues for events. We were looking for experience and staples for our Italian Mission Awards 2020 that shifted from March to September, according to the new context. It was born right here, at Superstudio Più in via Tortona, ten years ago and it has immediately been regarded as the most important fair dedicated to photography and moving image. The coronavirus cancelled the celebration of the tenth anniversary, but MIA will be back in March more important and beautiful than ever in the new astonishing spaces of Superstudio Maxi, in via Moncucco.

The largest space of Superstudio Più, the 2,500 square meters Central Point, is set up with a 24x3 m stage, a large 24x5.5 m led screen with a 2.6 mm pitch and a control station. The seats are spaced for 200 people present and the rest in live streaming. Superstudio is ready to play this new game and you?

Hybrid events, digital events, new attitudes for meeting management. These are the themes that agencies, locations, planners, creative people of the world of events deal with newfound enthusiasm. And that can renew live communication. Superstudio is already ready with its GoLive project.
The need for sociality is inherent in human beings, the importance of meeting, participating in aggregative events, getting to know each other, confronting each other is essential. The direction in which Superstudio is moving is to satisfy these needs not only by ensuring the adoption of appropriate hygiene-health measures but also by exploring new scenarios based on the use of web and digital technologies. Thus was born the GoLive project which offers in the spaces of Superstudio Più a TV-set ready to use, professional and adaptable to the most varied needs.
The set up of the space includes a 24x3 m stage, a large 24x5,5 m led screen with a 2.6 mm pitch and a control station. The capacity is about 300 people (with a minimum guaranteed safety distance of 1 m). The professional audio/lighting system is managed by the production department and can be adapted to various scenarios: talk shows, fashion shows, show cooking, conferences, product launches, press conferences, live streaming, webcasting, TV commercials...
Women are increasingly becoming the protagonists of events and are, today, even more central to our political, cultural and social scene. Even at this critical moment, many well-known or less-known female figures are emerging, but often their role is not yet recognized as key.
The role of women and the valuable contribution that many of them have made and will continue to make to our events has been reflected in Superstudio for some time.
A few months ago Superstudio launched the first call of its kind for the project DD - Donne e Design (Women and Design), a special exhibition designed for the next edition of the Superdesign Show, a real tribute to women’s creativity, that is also the theme launched by the City of Milan for 2020, with the schedule "2020 Creativity. The talents of women".
Just looking at the most recent productions hosted in the spaces of Superstudio Più in recent months, we observe many female personalities, each one, in her own way, central in events of international standing.

"Man on the Moon” exhibition will be the protagonist in June, it recalls the Ghost Book theme, a new editorial and multimedia project on Italian art photography, founded by Giorgio Racca. Pier Paolo Pitacco, art-director and well-known artist at Superstudio for his numerous collaborations, in charge of graphics and contents explains: “Ghost presents original and uncommon stories, alternating great names and emerging young ones. The number 5 volume, just like the exhibition, is indeed dedicated to the 50th anniversary since the Moon landing. About ten authors describe their personal vision of the satellite with their photographs. An evocative and fascinating exhibition and a step to create a community that shares research of quality and that finds itself in a class publication”.
If the exhibition arranged by Oroblù, lingerie and hosiery leader, was meant to celebrate its thirty years in collaboration with Giovanni Gastel and Flavio Lucchini that resulted in an exhibition combining the photographer’s magical clics with the art work splendours by the artist, just finished in MyOwnGallery, is to a book curated by Gisella Borioli, that Oroblù asks to immortalize the magical encounter and thank all those who have contributed and participated to the success of the company and event. “Inspiration” is a precious publication, with golden cover, in limited edition, presents inside a little slipcase, that marks a new Oroblù path towards palpable renovation and placement in the highest and most yearned for category of the market. With works by Lucchini and famous poets’ quotes that highlight the feminine beauty.
