CHEERS WITH GIN

It seems impossible that an event dedicated to Gin can obtain so much success. Instead, his tenth edition at the Superstudio più on 11 and 12 September was a real hit. The location was certainly attractive, the displays able to  fascinate even the non-addicted to  the sector . 

Behind the garden, where the focus pint was the now iconic Fiat 500 Mobile, "branded" by Lapo Elkann, everything started. The stands, of various sizes created a small village, with a continuity of mood, but also with a great variety of situations. There are those who, respecting the traditions, have focused on the reconstruction of the English pub. Those who underlined the Gin's botanical nature like the Japanese Rokin Gin with its "Bosco Bar". Atmosphere from sea with deck chairs for the French Citadelle. A world to be discovered, the Gin’s one and above all in evolution. One of the new trends is that of Gin connected to eating, as shown by Callmewine, the only e-commerce brand specialized in the Gin linked to about 200 manufacturers who proposed ten here, chosen among the smallest and artisanal ones with distillate and biodynamic wines. 

Among these there is even a Gin conceived by a starry chef, to be combined with meat dishes. The bottles are remarkable design objects with absolutely original shapes and high impact labels. Generally speaking, a lot of research in packagings and creativity also in the choice of names. So the Ligurian Gin Macaja, with slender bottles with sober label in a wooden structure. It uses local herbs, which defines the name choice, a word from the Genoese dialect which describes the atmosphere of low pressure and clouds over the sea. Instead, coming from Puglia and using the herbs of the region, Gargano Dry Gin, which gave pop and colorful gadgets to its customers. It recalls the typical ceramics of Galicia the bottle of the Spanish Nordés Gin, actually of glass. Gin is made, as well as with the five most classic ingredients, with six aromatic herbs of the area. 

The attention to sustainability could not be miss. So, from the province of Lucca the Gin Ambrosia, the only company that has decided to become coal free by 2022. That is not al: its bottles are recyclable and in the preparation phases the emissions are going to be to reduced, with the commitment to plant trees. Martini Cocktail Lounge and the Negroni Bar worked as the real culmination, paying the highest homage to one of the most important ingredients of best known and famous cocktails
