Superstudio is expanding its spaces and initiatives while staying true to its identity – fashion, art and photography – in the most tangible way possible: opening new venues and exhibitions, unveiling a monumental sculpture, and bringing under the same roof those who have always preserved this DNA.The common thread running through Superstudio’s Milanese autumn is not dispersion, but presence: more places, more initiatives, all connected to the same DNA rooted in fashion, art and photographic production, which the brand has cultivated over the years. The official debut of Superstudio Village during the latest Design Week already gave a sense of its ambitions: a series of high-profile events, including the Dolce & Gabbana beauty event and the 10th anniversary of Digital Design Days, confirmed the new hub on Via Negrotto, in Bovisa, as a new fixture on Milan’s calendar.
On the cultural front, the programme is becoming increasingly rich. From 21 to 28 September, the FLA Museum on Via Tortona will host FUTURFASHION – The Hidden Genius, a project curated by Gisella Borioli that brings fashion, art and artificial intelligence into dialogue through the work of a young artist and fashion designer who is still largely unknown to the wider public – a “hidden genius” who embodies the spirit of the initiative: discovering talent before it becomes a shared phenomenon. The exhibition will return on 24–25 October for the ApritiModa weekend.
On 8 October, it will be the turn of MyOwnGallery, also on Via Tortona, which will open an exhibition dedicated to Frida Kahlo, titled “Through My Eyes: Frida Kahlo and the Construction of the Myth”, curated by Vittoria Mainoldi and running until 11 January 2027. It marks a new chapter for a space that has made the interplay between art and fashion its distinctive hallmark.
The following day, 9 October, Superstudio Village will host the official unveiling of Big Totem, the large-scale sculpture by Flavio Lucchini, which will also symbolically open the SWING weekend by Spirit de Milan, hosted at the new venue for the first time.
Rounding out the picture is a piece of news that, more than any other, reflects the way Superstudio is growing: the acquisition of a majority stake (51%) in ePhoto, a long-standing partner of Superstudio Set – the company operating the Superstudio 13 studios on Via Forcella, one of Italy’s best-known locations for fashion and editorial photography production. The operation brings technical know-how closely connected to the original DNA of the business under a single ownership structure: the clearest indication that, for Superstudio, multiplying means first and foremost strengthening its roots.
