The time has finally come to reveal who the “Hidden Genius” I have been telling you about over the past few days really is — and what he does. Pierre Amour (his real family name, and already quite a statement) is a young artist, composer and writer, but above all a fashion designer with a clear vision of the future and all the qualities to join the Olympus of tomorrow’s Great Creators. The virtual fashion show I wanted to bring to Superstudio for this Fashion Week has simply confirmed his extraordinary talent.
At a press day that brought together editors and journalists from some of the most influential fashion publications, as well as creatives and artists drawn by the mystery surrounding this unknown talent, the prevailing feeling was one of astonishment: disbelief, a sigh of satisfaction, and a shared sense of pleasure in front of the sixteen screens, where one after another an extraordinary sequence of short collections unfolded with striking realism, each based on a different theme or idea.sA parade of imaginary yet entirely achievable beauty, inviting us once again to dream of clothes capable of making us dream — or making us feel unique in the world. From grand evening creations to interpretations of denim, enveloping pleats and other refined seductions. Pierre Amour uses AI as a tool — or rather, as an accomplice — to transform his visions into moving images that seem more real than reality itself, meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail. Leaving us to wonder how such magic can even be possible.
All credit goes first of all to their creator: born in Vichy, educated in fashion and taking his first professional steps in Paris — including an experience with John Galliano — Pierre now lives and works in New York, where he feeds his boundless creativity through stimulating collaborations. Credit also goes to Ramon Broza, his producer and the creator of the beautiful videos accompanying the installations, and to the FLA Museum, where the monumental sculptures of Flavio Lucchini have been installed in a natural dialogue between artists.
A sincere thank you to the supporters of this intangible event built on hope: Audiolux, Istituto Marangoni Milano, White Show, Ferrari Trento, Superstudio, and, of course, Silvia Negri and Studio NegriFirman for their communications support.
Our wish for Pierre Amour is that Italian fashion will finally give his creativity a home and claim for itself a “Hidden Genius” who is hidden no longer. The leap from Instagram to Made in Italy would be a dream turned into reality.
