This September the Milan Design Week ended with a great number of people visiting Superstudio Più, 35.781 to be precise. These are important numbers that tell us more than a thousand words. Indeed, they prove to be a positive response to those who strongly wanted this edition, reminding the whole world of the strength and appeal of Italian design and its international capital, Milan. ISS Facility services took part in the Superdesign Show 2021 Special Edition, supporting the DONNE&DESIGN exhibition, conceived by Gisella Borioli, founder of Superstudio, and curated by Silvana Annichiarico. A first collaboration focused on a very topical issue and realized along with an important educational reality in Italy, the IULM University. ISS, a leading company in the service sector, tells us the reasons for its commitment to equality and inclusion through the words of its head of marketing activities for ISS, Nicolò Abbate. 

A contest that surprised everyone for the quality of the films presented, able to tell with elegance and wisdom the proposed theme: “Stories of Things”, in 5 minutes maximu, as requested by IULM University to its students of Video and Communication. Despite the little experience and the very young age, the jury didn’t find it easy to choose the three winners among the seven finalists and give them an order on the podium. We are presenting them to you here.

Superstudio’s collaboration with the IULM University coincides with the arrival of Superstudio Maxi, located right behind the University and the close proximity to Cascina Moncucco, home of the residences of professors and students. This collaboration started a series of interesting initiatives that enhance the creative and formative relationship between the two realities of Milanese culture with an international perspective. The award ceremony of the contest "Storie di Cose" ("Stories of Things") promoted by IULM sealed the first stage of this partnership.

It was love at first sight that linked the direction of Superstudio with the professors of the University of Languages and Communication (and much more) IULM and the students, thanks to the welcome and foresight of the Rector, the Professor Gianni Canova. And so we all felt part of a new adventure during Design Week 2021, symbol of the restart in the post-pandemic period...

The collaboration between Superstudio Maxi and the nearby IULM University, with its garden of international students and ideas production, its vivacity and availability, ensures an exchange of experiences and training and entertainment opportunities that will enrich the cultural offer of Barona. A collaboration starting from the very opening of the centre, on September 5th 2021, with the presence of different initiatives curated by IULM, that is to say a workshop about artificial intelligence applied to Fashion and Design.
