Achieving a LEED® certification is an ambitious and non-obvious goal. It represents a practical and ethical investment that involves diversified professional figures and design aspects and draws a precise path in favor of the environment and the quality of life in urban spaces. LEED® (Leader in Energy and Environmental Design) is the program by U.S. Green Building Council® for the design, construction, maintenance and operation of high performance green buildings....

The designer Clino Trini Castelli is the fifth protagonist of the special project “Designers for Bergamo” created by DimoreDesign. A virtual serial narrative that makes us discover the ancient villas and historic buildings where atmospheres of the past are into dialogue with interventions of the most well-known contemporary designers. In collaboration with DimoreDesign, Superstudio invites its community to participate to these extraordinary meetings. Next appointment is on Tuesday 6th July with Deepdesign.

The long awaited moment is approaching: on September 5th, the third Superstudio’s hub, Superstudio Maxi, will be inaugurated with an open days of five days. This is the biggest exhibition hall of the city, fully sustainable, obtained without land consumption from the regeneration of an old steel factory degraded for years that today turns into a cultural space that looks to the future.

After closing the construction site, laying the large outdoor sculpture - which is the symbol of beauty and creativity - receiving the well-deserved LEED Gold® certificate - that attests to its highest degree of sustainability – testing the system, furnishing work environments, laying the asphalt, finishing the fence and the long electric gate, posing the insigna, planting the trees and creating a garden that is ideally connected to the neighboring park, Superstudio Maxi is finally ready to use...

In order to keep itself solid over time, a brand must rediscover, reinvent, but above all it  must be able to tell about itself. C.P. Company, our tenant for three years, has always managed to do and still keeps doing so. We knocked on the door of this new neighbor, driven by the curiosity to know him…because it is also thanks to these protagonists that Superstudio Più keeps breathing.

There are many realities concentrated here in the district of Tortona. Among these, there are some that have chosen to grow or develop further at Superstudio Più. A big space that Lorenzo Osti - the founder’s son of C.P. Company and the current president of the famous sportswear brand - defines as “a container whose beauty consists in its neutrality”...

Fashion is at home when at Superstudio Café. This is obvious, since it is the addition to the most important photographic studios of both Milan and of its public of fashion enthusiasts and creatives, to whom the new look is dedicated: greener, fresher, more sustainable and more elegant. And the kitchen is no less.

Superstudio 13 has been a reference point for international fashion for forty years and the legends of fashion photography and great creatives have passed through it and continue to be present. To the renewal of its photographic studios is added the renewal of its restaurant-café, created in 2008 on a project by the architect Michele De Lucchi. While maintaining the original idea, the overall image of the environment has been refreshed, taking into account the changing needs of its public...

The touch of class and modernity in the large meeting rooms at Superstudio Maxi are called Stacy. This is the name of Arper’s iconic seat designed by Lievore Altherr studio. A simple, free and at the same time absolutely defined design. We often see it in the contract environments, leading sector for Arper, but Stacy responds to many wishes. In addition, it is light and stackable, ideal for setting up an audience quickly and elegantly. Combinations of colors, finishes, materials are innumerable. For Superstudio Maxi we have chosen the contrast between the seat’s white and the thin black structure as a recurring element in the three operating venues available to customers...

Amongst the themes featured at Superstudio Più we are glad to present DISCOVERING, a focus on a new designers’ generation and on the methods that shape their creations. The newness doesn’t stand as a reference to the age of the designers, it is a signal of the innovative power of their ideas. The Discovering section aims to present todays’ multifaceted design approach. We would like to highlight the works of those designers who are good interpreters of our time, capable to work in a balance between technology and craftsmanship, fantasy and rigour, objects and relations.   

The call to participate in the selection for Discovering is open to designers, architects, brands, research bodies engaged in the development of the following themes...

The laying of the huge sculpture Divine by Flavio Lucchini, occured in recent days at Superstudio Maxi, was such a fascinating adventure that it deserved a video documenting the event.
Divine, that was conceived in 2007 for a city project that did not materialize, was however created by the artist and built next to his atelier waiting for the right occasion. This happened with the opening of the new big exhibition space Superstudio Maxi, in Via Moncucco in Milan. As for the other venues of Superstudio group, also to the latest location is destined a spectacular and favorable artwork about fashion, design, art and beauty...

Yesterday morning at Triennale there was a really super conference that brought together representatives of Triennale, Fiera di Milano, Salone del Mobile, FederlegnoArredo, Adi Design Museum - Compasso d’Oro, Fuorisalone network, Camera della Moda, Regione Lombardia, Federalberghi to talk about the future of Milan as a resilient design capital. But above all, they talked about Milan Design Week of September 2021, hastily born to give a signal of rebirth, which is becoming a moment of solidarity and collective creativity. The moment when Supersalone (as it was renamed on the occasion of Salone del Mobile), Triennale (turning into urban outpost of the Salone), projects of Fuorisalone (with Superstudio and all other operators) will be giving a sign of tangible renewal of projects and relationships...
