We knew that our "Unreal but Real" exhibition with Flavio Lucchini artworks in augmented reality was avant-garde, but we would not have imagined even prophetic. A new way of enjoying contemporary art that Superstudio had already guessed almost two years ago. A trend that today becomes a necessity. 

Presented in April 2019 at Superstudio Più with the brand new technology created by Sense - immaterial Reality, the virtual exhibition allowed you to enjoy an emotional journey through the mobile phone and a dedicated app of Flavio Lucchini's large sculptures and installations, which interacted with visitors and they could also be photographed as well as shared on social media...

In recent years, new categories of materials and technologies are emerging influenced by the hybridization of design with science and some technological developments such as Internet of Things (IoT). These are termed ICS materials, an acronym for Interactive, Connected, and Smart Materials.

ICS materials are able to establish a bidirectional exchange of information with non-human and human entities and respond reversibly to external stimuli, modifying their properties and qualities. Lastly they can be programmable, not only through software.

Finally I received the magnificent book on Fiorucci by Franco Marabelli, brilliantly laid out by Pier Paolo Pitacco, with the collaboration of Franca Soncini. And it was like going back, in a moment I was among friends of the 60s/70s/80s catapulted by a time machine able to bring back emotions, challenges, fun, the energy of years that to tell them today we hardly believed it.
