Today Milan awarded Jo Squillo with the Ambrogino d’Oro, and I could not be happier.
I met Jo Squillo in the 1980s, when she emerged as a groundbreaking figure: a modern, forward-thinking singer, capable of capturing the spirit of the times with a naturalness that left everyone astonished. Forty years have passed since then, but her visionary energy has never faded.
Over time, we have collaborated on many fronts. She has often interviewed me for her fashion- and design-focused television programs; and she has never missed a creativity event at Superstudio, always arriving with her contagious enthusiasm and lively curiosity. Jo is always present when it comes to innovation, rights, beauty, and new ideas.
For this reason, the award that Mayor Beppe Sala presented to her today, the Ambrogino d’Oro Honorary Mention, fills me with joy. It is a recognition that highlights her open-mindedness, her ability to understand society, and her drive to change it.
Jo is not just a figure in entertainment: she is a woman who has been able to give concrete form to her battles. She created a Wall of Fame with dolls donated by citizens, a moving urban artwork denouncing violence against women. She also established a museum of dolls of every kind, as a metaphor for female diversity: a gesture that is both poetic and political.
Jo is talented, beautiful, intelligent, and courageous.
And today Milan pays tribute to her, as she has deserved for a long time.

Milan hosted a new edition of Denim Première Vision at Superstudio Più, where denim returned to tell its unique story bridging past and future. The protagonists were new fabrics that already seem “worn,” or rather, marked by time and full of character, perfect for that nostalgia “for eras never lived” that fascinates especially Gen Z.

Strong was also the reference to military style and workwear, which bring denim back to its most concrete authenticity. Innovative technologies and retro inspirations merged to create garments that seem to have a history even before being worn. An event that confirms denim as a universal and creative language, always capable of reinventing itself.

Milan lights up with... quantum sparks. From December 4 to 17, MyOwnGallery at Superstudio, in the creative heart of the Tortona District, hosts the Quant’ARTE Festival, an event that takes physics out of laboratories and transforms it into a visual emotion.

Nineteen young artists from Academies and Design Institutes across Italy engage in a dialogue with four established artists, creating a surprising conversation between imagination and quantum physics. Installations, light-art, photography, sculptures, and conceptual works emerge from the students' close encounters with scientists and quantum labs. No traditional lessons, only inspirations, intuitions, and paradoxes translated into contemporary languages.

50 years of journalism. A gold medal from the Order of Journalists to remember it. An official ceremony in the beautiful frescoed Hall of Honour of the Institute for the Blind. An audience of “colleagues” with white hair, moved, like me, in receiving an award that highlights lives dedicated to communication and to others. I am there, and I ask myself: “already?”
A medal that stands alongside the precious Ambrogino d’Oro that Mayor Pisapia awarded me in 2014. I think of my twenties, when I began my path in the newsroom of Ottagono, my professional growth through the many magazines I collaborated with, directed or created. From Vogue to Lei to Donna to Madame Figaro and countless others up to today, with our AT. And of the many books I have edited or written.
As a journalist I discovered the world and extraordinary people. I opened my heart and my mind. With this background I entered the world of events, founding, together with my husband Flavio Lucchini, the Superstudio group: another way of communicating, live, wide open to innovation, to the arts, to science, to technology, to creativity and much more. I still feel like the young aspiring journalist I once was, curious and restless, ready for challenges to anticipate the future.
I dedicate this medal to those who have followed us this far, from fifty years ago to today. Tomorrow is another day.

On 22 November 2024 the SIAE AWARDS ceremony for the protagonists of the Italian music scene took place at Superstudio Più, hosted by Amadeus, with a special guest: the legendary Ornella Vanoni. This year, on the same date, for the new edition of the awards we were expecting her again, with all her charm, her charisma, her jokes, her truth. Instead… The night before she fell asleep forever. Suddenly.

The Show must go on… A colossal set design with lights, projections, special effects, the same host, important guests but above all still her, Ornella, acting as a common thread with her presence/absence that warmed every heart. For those who were there and for those who weren’t, here is the memory of the evening.

Superstudio Photo Award 2026 is born, created by MIA Photo Fair BNP Paribas and Superstudio Set: a prize dedicated to the students of the best European schools of photography and image – very young, still in training, but already prepared to express an original view on the contemporary world.

MIA Photo Fair, the most important Italian fair dedicated exclusively to photography, and Superstudio, the main centre of Milanese creativity since 1983, have always shared the conviction that culture is a social value and a driver of change.

There are places that do not just host events, but transform them. Superstudio 13 is one of them. You walk in and immediately feel you’re in a creative ecosystem that is not content with following the future: it builds it. In a city like Milan, which is currently experiencing a real race toward tech innovation, Superstudio has become a point of reference.

The Superstudio 13 hub, the first created within the group, has taken inspiration from the movements of the system to explore the future of image and fashion. The day of November 18 organized by Limitless Lab and ePhoto and dedicated to AI x Fashion Lab, that is how fashion will transform in the near future, proved it in the clearest way. On November 20, 2025, one of the most anticipated events of the year returns: the charity dinner of the Fondazione IEO-MONZINO ETS, supporting oncology and cardiovascular research.

This new Milan edition confirms a now-historic collaboration with the Via Tortona location, transforming it into a crossroads of inspiration, trends, and textile innovation. The goal is clear: to create concrete connections between production and creativity, between industry and experimentation, in a context where sustainability and research are the real key words.
