Valentino, too, has left us. The new year also begins badly, amid international tensions, new wars on the horizon, and old conflicts that cannot be appeased. News of Valentino’s death feels like a symbol that our era of beauty, peace, progress, growth, and genius has truly come to an end, leading us toward an unknown abyss from which only intelligence—human, and perhaps artificial—might show us the path to rebirth. Or perhaps not.
Valentino was an elegant, kind man of immense talent, a true devotee of beauty, faithful to himself, to his friends, to his extended family, and to his own universe.
Three locations and thirty thousand square meters for Superstudio Design, the new, extraordinary format ready to take center stage as a leading protagonist of Milan Design Week 2026, starting on April 20. Major comebacks and many new features are on the way.
Superstudio never stops—it moves fast, breaks down borders, overcomes limits and multiplies spaces. For Milan Design Week 2026, taking place from April 20 to 26, the cradle and hub of Italian and international design renews itself by launching a new format: Superstudio Design.
Twenty students from the Fashion Department of California State University Long Beach (CSULB) made a stop at the FLA Museum, which has now become an essential destination of the "Italy Study Abroad" program, two weeks of study in Italy, visiting iconic companies, showrooms, artisan workshops, retailers, and fashion museums, organized in collaboration with the agency Pink Up. During their journey through Italy’s fashion excellence, the students discovered at the FLA Museum a different and profound vision of Fashion: not only as product or trend, but as art and cultural language that transcends market logic and marketing dictates. Through sculptures, paintings, digital paintings, graphics, and drawings, Flavio Lucchini presents fashion as a metaphor for an evolving society and as a creative gesture capable of transforming the way we view images and interpret contemporary aesthetics. Beyond clothing, there is much more. C.F.F.

The countdown to Milan Fashion Week has officially begun. From January 16 to 20, runway shows and events will sweep through the city, unveiling the menswear collections for Fall/Winter 2026-2027. Style icons and emerging brands will take the stage, and at Superstudio Più the spotlight will be on the talented Qasimi, set to show on January 18.
With 18 physical runway shows and seven digital presentations, 39 presentations and 12 special events, for a total of 76 appointments, Milan Men’s Fashion Week is ready to raise the curtain. On the eve of the opening ceremony of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, the Italian capital of fashion is preparing to step onto the runway and deliver a true spectacle.
In the recent Le Iene investigation into safety standards in Italian nightclubs, aired on Sunday, January 11, Super Club emerged as a model of excellence in nightlife safety. Because within the Superstudio ecosystem, entertainment is serious business.
From celebration to tragedy in the span of one cursed night. The horrifying New Year’s Eve fire at the Le Constellation club in Crans-Montana is still burning in the collective memory. The thought of the forty young people who lost their lives, and of the more than 110 who were severely injured and are still fighting for survival with devastating burns, refuses to fade. Instead, it ignites questions and concerns about safety measures at the Swiss venue where the latest nightmare unfolded, and in nightclubs everywhere.
The 29th edition of the Milano Tattoo Convention returns for the third consecutive year to the spaces of Superstudio Maxi to celebrate tattooing as an expression of fashion and contemporary art. From January 23 to 25, the most established and exciting tattoo artists on the international scene will present—through live performances, exhibitions, shows, and skin-tailored events—the latest trends of a visual language that goes beyond words.
There is a language that does not speak through words. It goes further, freeing imagination and creativity. It uses signs, symbols, figures, shapes, numbers, and images that, when tattooed on the skin, tell stories, fix memories, immortalize moments, express styles, emotions, changes, dreams, and desires.
Fashion is slowing down. Margins are under pressure. And the industry is quietly—but decisively—shedding its old skin. This is the snapshot that emerges from the latest annual report by McKinsey & Company in collaboration with The Business of Fashion, an in-depth look at who is really winning the race for relevance and profitability—and what will actually matter in 2026.
The macro picture is anything but reassuring. Europe, the United States and China are all moving along modest, single-digit growth trajectories, burdened by geopolitical instability and by a word that has returned to dominate the conversation: tariffs.
Alessandro Guerriero, the legendary architect who since the 1970s has shaken up the once orderly world of furniture design with his “counter-design” approach, is a longtime friend of Superstudio Più. Over the years, he has brought to its spaces - on several occasions during Design Week - his experimental temporary architectures and his original socially driven objects created together with vulnerable young people from the Sacra Famiglia Foundation.
For this reason, we are pleased to highlight People and Projects, a series of talks and workshops taking place at the ADI Design Museum in Milan which, alongside the exhibition Alchimia. The Revolution of Italian Design, transforms the retrospective into a living laboratory of relationships and experimentation. Curated by Alessandro Guerriero and Stefano Mirti, with the support of C-Zone, the program opens the door to shared experiences that intertwine design, fragrance, cinema, performance, play, and psychoanalysis, bringing the original spirit of the collective into a contemporary perspective. Each event becomes an opportunity to discover, meet, and engage with leading artists and designers, and together with them to reflect, explore, and be surprised by sensory, performative, and playful journeys, within a space that alternates between a site of discovery and a setting for dialogue, turning the museum into an immersive stage where design and creativity, art and society, come together in the name of Italian design. From February 6 to 20, Dutch fans arrive in Milan, taking over the spaces of Via Tortona, which for the occasion become TeamNL House. A calendar of high-energy, engaging performances kicks off, offering an Olympic experience full of sport and fun.
The countdown to the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympics has begun. Only a few weeks remain until the official start of the Winter Games, and Superstudio Più is ready to hit the ice. The vast venue on Via Tortona turns orange, opening its doors to fans, athletes, enthusiasts, and curious visitors from the Netherlands - but not only - and becomes TeamNL House, the official home and gathering place for orange supporters.
Italian design, like fashion, has conquered the world, making us protagonists of a style and beauty recognized on a universal level. With pride and pleasure, Superstudio looks at the recent initiative of the Salone del Mobile of Milan which, thanks to the vision of its president Maria Porro, became the highlight of the contemporary design exhibition held in Riyadh last November, laying the foundations for a forward-looking collaboration. Our correspondent went there to report for you.
The Salone del Mobile of Milan, the world’s most important design fair, recently made its debut in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, under the patronage and with the collaboration of institutions from both countries.
