FUORISALONE: WE CHOSE TO BE THERE!

A press conference took place yesterday at the headquarters of Classeditori. The topic was the long-awaited Design Week 2021 that will finally revive the city of Milan from 4 to 10 September after a long pandemic closure. Together with Paolo Casati and Davide Groppi Gisella Borioli was interviewed. Anticipations, hopes and a common desire to be there, also this year. Despite everything.

Milan comes to life again, it becomes more and more frenetic in these days of great preparation. After the general paralysis of the activities, it will not be easy resuming the rhythm and get used to the organization of such a great event again. Stefano Boeri, curator of Supersalone, confirms this. His tone remains more than optimistic looking at the enormous progress that has been made in terms of design experimentation. New, recyclable, sustainable. These are the concepts on which the different designers have thought of. They have found concreteness in their different projects that will be exhibited during the Design Week 2021. This year, says Paolo Casati - creative director of Studiolabo and co-founder of Fuorisalone.it - we will aim at the quality and not at the quantity of guests. At the construction of emotional paths, follows Davide Groppi, famous inventor and manufacturer of lamps and lighting projects. Another goal will be leaving the format of the stand, developing, through curatorial exhibitions, the themes that deal with our contemporaneity, concludes Gisella Borioli -founder of Superstudio together with her husband Flavio Lucchini-  who hopes for a young people’s approach to the beauty of design, which today has clearly become an instrument that can help you live in a better world. We are ready. Everyone. To revive, safely, the streets of our Milan.
