From the iconic Eames Lounge Chair to Gae Aulenti’s Pipistrello lamp, via Ettore Sottsass’ legendary Ultrafragola mirror, 20th-century design takes center stage once again on May 23 and 24 at Superstudio Più with SOMO 2026, Italy’s largest event dedicated to modern antiques and collectible design.

Some dream of placing Charles and Ray Eames’ Lounge Chair in their living room; others imagine Sottsass’ Ultrafragola mirror lighting up their entrance hall. There are those who would do almost anything to have a Pipistrello lamp by Gae Aulenti beside their bed, and those who long for a Vitra Panton Chair in their studio - perhaps in striking red or electric blue to make even more of a statement.
