Superdesign Show awaits its audience with its curatorial exhibitions touching the burning issues of living. Just like Supercampus does: Furnishing accessories, sofas, containers, technical systems to be imagined in various contexts to live the daily space of work and relaxation in a new and flexible way, inside and outside, adhering to the new desire to work, study, live with maximum comfort where you feel better, without fixed and consolidated rules.
A path exhibition curated by Giulio Cappellini. Starting with the accessory, such as the tents of the Dane Kvadrat. Behind the project there is the creativity of designers like Erik Ole Jørgensen, Patricia Urquiola, Finn Sködt, but also attention to functionality, maintenance and, above all, the environment. The research of technologies with the use of sustainable energy sources is the strong point of Olmar’s electric heating systems, with heat and atmosphere of the old fireplace. Janus et Cie takes reference from the classics of the past for chairs, tables, trolleys, outdoor umbrellas; with the collection of Paola Navone inspired by the furnishings of the Mediterranean porches or that of Michael Vanderbyl with teak elements that recall the hatch of the old yachts. A mobile app and a wireless command allows to manage the temperature of the individual heaters in the smart heating of Caleffi. Cappellini’s creations, from Juli Plastic chairs for meeting and work tables, to the modular sofa by Jasper Morrison, are designed for a flexible and ever-changing living. A washbasin similar to a rolled sheet, a bathtub-sculpture, a particular lamp, are the proposals of Flaminia to reinterpret the bathroom. Light, essential, the result of substraction, typical of Japanese aesthetics, the mixer by Cristina Rubinetterie, with an ergonomic handle. Oak, steel and brass details for the benches that once overlaped become shelves: an example of the mix between traditional craftmanship and functional design by District Eight, the Vietnamese company that chose the name of the neighborhood of Ho Chi Minh City, where the first headquarters was born. The lamps by Icone Luce are characterized by a varied use of materials, an often original shape and a brightness at high yield: from the sophisticated Arbor with the stylized light arms to Hula Hoop with the rings, ceiling light or suspended. The right balance between new colours and unusual graphic in Ornamenta tiles and floor coverings. Boffi and De Padova are also present: the first one with AH01 outdoor kitchen system designed to reduce odors, not alter flavors and other services; the second one with two small armchairs, the versatile Margherita and Silvia made in wicker with vintage and exotic quotes, and Raffles sofa by Vico Magistretti with British details. Also on show two excellences such as; Caimi, one of the main European design oriented production companies, in the furniture and furnishing accessories sector for the office, home and contract and Technogym, an Italian company world leader in the production of sports and leisure equipment. Finally, workstations for office and home environment by Arkof, an Italian company born in the 1970s with an unconventional design.
