With more than 180 publishing brands, about 300 writers, guests and authors, 250 appointments between presentations, events and meetings, 3 sections (Book Young, Book Comics, Linguistic Trajectories), a space dedicated to the book crafts "Book Academy" and a place intended for poetry "Poet's Corner", 4 paths (Maps, Refuges, Escapes, Visions), 40 workshops dedicated to schools for more than 1. 000 students enrolled and 2 previews with Sheila Heti and Alicia Giménez-Bartlett, we find at Superstudio Maxi from ..to... Book Pride, the national fair of Italian independent publishing.

BOOK PRIDE, an independent publishing fair, with its load of culture, passions, discoveries, visions, where places understood in their multidimensionality - geographical, physical, psychic and sentimental - are at the center, returns to the large venue on Moncucco Street. The theme of the year is already a whole program: "No place is far away."   Curators of the seventh edition: Marco Amerighi and Laura Pezzino, joined by three special curators called to develop and enrich the palimpsest of the sections: Valentina De Poli (former editor of Mickey Mouse and curator of books and podcasts) for Book Young, the section dedicated to children's and young people's publishing; Martoz (cartoonist and street artist, winner in 2019 of the Lucca Comics Award as best cartoonist) for Book Comics, the events related to the world of comics; Nadeesha Uyangoda (writer, author of the book The Only Black Person in the Room and winner of the Anima 2021 Award for Literature) for the section Linguistic Trajectories: a series of meetings that will bring the "world" between the halls of Superstudio Maxi addressing crucial issues today. Maps, Refuges, Escapes, and Visions are the four paths through which Book Pride wants to help one orient oneself in the present, urging one to look where few look, with the courage to dream of what is not yet possible to see. After years in which people have been divided behind barriers, borders and discrimination, the choice of the theme "No place is far away" reflects the urgency to remark that everything that happens on this planet affects each of us, that the other, the different, is just another part of us and that no place is really far away.   Book Pride is promoted by ADEI, Association of Independent Publishers, and the Book Pride Association and is organized by Book Services. The event represents Italian independent publishing, a unique cultural heritage with nearly 50 percent of the value of the book market.
