A MASTER IN COLLABORATION BETWEEN THE LUM UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT AND SUPERSTUDIO

On the one hand, an advanced management school with an international vocation and offices in Bari, Rome, Lecce and Milan. On the other, the organization that produces top-level events and has launched the phenomenon of the Design Districts in Milan. THE SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT OF THE LUM UNIVERSITY and SUPERSTUDIO ACADEMY, a new initiative of Superstudio Group, have met to offer students within the Master of Arts and Design Management a course focused on the creation of events and in particular of the Milan Design Week. An opportunity to experience firsthand the most important week of the year and quickly acquire unique skills live.

In this beginning of the year which marks the 40th anniversary of the foundation of Superstudio in Milan as a center of creativity starting from fashion with the complex of studios and services in via Forcella 13, the idea of ​​launching new auspicious activity for the years to come. In addition to the design of the latest location, the surprising hub for virtual productions Superstudio Village at Bovisa with its new digital Theater, here comes Superstudio Academy, a new concept post-graduate training project for future operators in the world of events. Training/operating modules that bring students directly into contact with the needs of the profession by providing cultural, technical and technological tools that allow them to understand all the real problems. A training made possible by the reality of Superstudio, with its managers, internal team, collaborators and guest "visiting professors", who boast a long experience in the events, fashion, design, art and communication sectors and a unique and international prestige. The modules, of varying duration and complexity, will be offered in a personalized way based on the collaborations requested by institutions and universities or as an opportunity directly managed by Superstudio itself.

 The first module of Superstudio Academy starts on February 9th and lasts until April 27th (with the appointments of the lessons scheduled during the last two months leading up to the Milan Design Week) developed following the collaboration with the LUM School of Management to enrich the educational offer of the Master MADEM - Arts and Design Management. 42 hours divided into 24 lessons over 11 days or half days, following the implementation of the Superdesign project at Superstudio Più step by step. Theoretical and practical lessons will take learners to the heart of the most iconic event of the Fuorisalone, the one that in 2020 kicked off the complementary phenomenon to the Salone del Mobile in Rho of the city's Design Districts. Many topics were covered and many meetings with the specialists hosted by the course (architects, designers, journalists, planners, artists) directed and coordinated by Gisella Borioli. An important guest of the master will be the councilor for Fashion and Design of the Municipality of Milan Alessia Cappello, testifying to how the city lives and prepares for Milan Design Week 2023.

The first level Master in Arts and Design Management, held entirely in English, aims to develop technical-specialist, soft-skills, leadership skills and knowledge for those who aspire to cover positions of major responsibility or to work as a consultant or entrepreneur in the arts, design and culture sectors.

The MASTER MADEM takes place in the Milan branch of the LUM university, Villa Clerici, via Giovanni Terruggia 8/14, Milan 20162, but the specific course which will be held in collaboration with SUPERSTUDIO ACADEMY will take place at Superstudio Più, via Tortona 27, Milan 20144 .
