In the past 10 years, the taste of art amateurs and collectors who live or visit Dubai has evolved a lot, often boosting the mix of various cultural expressions, bold proposals, digital art, video art, and technological innovations. As part of the 2022 Art Week, 120 galleries from around the world - including Marella in Milano, with whom Superstudio has been working together for years, and Perrotin in Paris - attracted more than 30.000 visitors, celebrating the Art Dubai Fair in March in a context full of enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity for the flagship event of the region, once again taking place at the Madinat Art Center.
The fair also includes a wide range of inaugurations, parties, private visits, talks and cultural events. Among the many appointments, we report the long-awaited opening of the Museum of Future, a jewel of engineering and architecture in the world. Arabic calligraphy covers the exterior of the ring of pierced steel over seven floors of supertechnological exhibitions.
Do not forget the launch of Pablo Dana's "Resilient Intuition" at Oblong on Bluewaters' artificial island on March 16. Aside from the artist, the Italian gallerists Paola Marucci and Emanuela Venturini, together with Gisella Borioli, with whom they share many creative projects and perspectives in Italy and Dubai, welcomed the guest in this brand-new and successful art space.
