It is time to draw conclusions on the recently concluded 2023 tennis season. There is great anticipation for the ATP AWARDS, which will be staged tonight in the Superstudio spaces. Among the categories, the Most Improved Player of the Year nominees include Jannik Sinner, Matteo Arnaldi, and Americans Ben Shelton and Christopher Eubanks. In the Newcomer of the Year category, featuring Next Gen players who came close to the top 100, we find Flavio Cobolli, Arthur Fils, Alex Michelsen, Dominic Stricker, and Luca Van Assche.
For the Sportsmanship Award dedicated to Stefan Edberg, the nominees are Carlos Alcaraz, Hubert Hurkacz, Grigor Dimitrov, and Jannik Sinner. In the Comeback Player of the Year award, recognizing the player who has returned to the top after a serious injury, we find Alexander Zverev, Jan-Lennard Struff, Dominik Koepfer, and Gael Monfils. Jannik Sinner is also nominated, along with Grigor Dimitrov, Carlos Alcaraz, and Hubert Hurkacz.
Vying for the Best Coach award are Darren Cahill and Simone Vagnozzi, who coached Jannik Sinner, Craig Boynton coaching Hubert Hurkacz, Juan Carlos Ferrero coaching Carlos Alcaraz, Goran Ivanisevic coaching Novak Djokovic, and Bryan Shelton coaching his son Ben.
