A Superdesign 2023 itinerary among the art installations that intersperse the design presentations is another way to visit the event and fully enjoy its all-around creativity.
They can be the recent works of resident artist (and founder/ president of our Group) Flavio Lucchini with the iconic “Totems” in the garden and outdoor spaces, his paintings “Memories" that tell us about women in the atelier or the Rubelli Casa armchairs he painted for Studio Nava+Arosio’s dynamic art project “Vision 47” and the iconic artworks in the FLA, the labyrinthine fashionart museum of Superstudio. Or the first photography exhibition “Mirror” by the super-young photographer Angelica Cantù Rajnoldi with ten young women designers, including Sara Ricciardi. They can be the black-and-white “Cosmo Bunny” by Aki Kuroda for Slide or the large sculpture “Optical”(7) also by Lucchini on the central-hall path. They can be the different talks crossing art in the FlavioLucchiniArt Museum including the meeting with Michelangelo Pistoletto who has donated to Superstudio his “Third Paradise” on the Roof (8), Giangiacomo Rocco di Torrepadula presenting the book published by Skira “A postcard for Floyd”. But also the steel artists who preside over the NichelcromLab space, Michele D’Agostino and Leblon Delienne. Or masters in ceramics, such as Alberto Gianfreda with his work “Italia” that recalls with fragments of handcrafted vases the Italian regions and craftsmanship (10). Or even the jazz performances of singer Angelica McGlynnn in the acoustic island “Soundspline.” All these can be pieces of the multicultural mosaic that is the very real essence of Superdesign Show.
