105.000 VISITORS, 3 DISTRICTS, 1 VISION. It was not just a successful Design Week. It marked a change of scale. With the 2026 edition, Superstudio redefined the geography of design by turning a platform spread across multiple districts and neighborhoods into a true urban ecosystem. From Tortona to Barona and Bovisa, Superstudio Più, Superstudio Maxi and the new Superstudio Village created a connected map of the city, shaping one of the most ambitious projects of the entire Milan Design Week.
The numbers tell the scale of the transformation brought about by the event hub conceived by Design Week Superstudio: over 105,000 visitors throughout the week, compared to 87,000 in 2025.
Growth that reflects not only an increase in attendance, but also a clear leap in international relevance, content quality, and curatorial vision. The beating heart of the event remained Superstudio Più, which welcomed 94 top-level brands. But it was the opening of the two new venues that truly redefined the Design Week experience. Superstudio Village, the project dedicated to emerging talents and experimentation, attracted over 8,500 visitors, while the sophisticated presentation of the most iconic Made in Italy design at Superstudio Maxi welcomed nearly 5,000 guests within SuperCity, the event curated by Giulio Cappellini.
For the first time, the project operated as a true distributed urban ecosystem: 30,000 square meters of exhibition spaces spread across complementary districts and neighborhoods, and the presence of leading brands in every district reinforced Tortona’s role. Visitor flows and international attendance grew significantly. More than 91 brands and 88 designers from Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America transformed the event into a multicultural platform dedicated to research, innovation, and dialogue. In total, 70 projects and positive initiatives by and for women highlighted the event’s social and cultural value, while artificial intelligence made its official appearance and performed strongly. To further confirm the project’s impact, media coverage reached over 400 press articles, more than 30 interviews, and 10 television services on the main national networks. After 26 years of presence at Milan Design Week and more than one million visitors welcomed throughout its history, Superstudio enters today with renewed strength, positioning itself as the most international and widespread design hub. A project that continues to shape not only the way Milan experiences creativity, but also the way the city evolves through creativity, relationships, and new urban visions.
