Ambitious and innovative projects that amaze the visitors and create experiences with a strong emotional impact. The future of design is reimagined and redefined thanks to imposing and visionary installlations that link seamingly far universes in an original way, telling engaging stories and unexpected, poetic connessions. Two big names invite to view technology in a new light, as a “almost-human” tool, at people’s service.
LEXUS. INHALE AND EXHALE
“A-Un” is an impressive installation that intuitively connects with those who experience it, evoking the form of the new cockpit for electric cars Black Butterfly. It pushes boundaries and unveils new possible interactions between humans and next-generation vehicles, based on mutual understanding: this is Lexus’ ambition. The project’s name is inspired by the Japanese expression A-un no kokyu, which describes a harmonious non-verbal communication made possible by the synchronization of human breath with that of the surrounding world. Within a monumental space woven with threads, visitors can experience a luminous moment where their heartbeat merges in real time with the 1/f tremors sampled from nature. The installation was created by Takeshi Nozoe, founder of the creative company SIX Inc. and award-winning creative director, along with Tatsuki Ikezawa of STUDEO. The second installation, “Discover Together”, is the result of a collaboration between Bascule Inc., the design team at Northeastern University, and Lexus designers Moto Takabatake and Yuri Tamura. These emerging creatives, each with their own vision, explored and reinterpreted the connection between people and Black Butterfly. www.discoverlexus.com
GEBERIT. WHERE WATER MEETS DESIGN
A unique experience where visitors are fully immersed in an interactive way. Guided by sounds, light effects, and, of course, the movements of water around them. But Geberit’s installation, a company known for its cutting-edge sanitary products, is not just a fascinating display for its own sake. It aims to tell, and succeeds, in showing how perfect harmony can be achieved between design and functionality. Essentially, how water, the most valuable resource, can be channeled with technology to enhance daily performance. Everything is explained in two areas. In the first, large Touch Rings, enhanced by Artificial Intelligence, highlight the movement of water flows. The impression is that of an artistic installation. The second area, Mastering Water, explains Geberit’s technological intervention. A transparent cube in the center of the room simulates the movements of water and how these can be optimized. Following this, a more illustrative zone presents new and various solutions such as the AquaClean Alba, which integrates a toilet and bidet, offering excellent cleaning and comfort performance through a remote control and app. The Sigma 40 is the new series of control plates with a depth of just a few millimeters, available in various materials. Additionally, there are new linear design shower solutions, TurboFlush for cleaning and maintaining ceramics, and furniture concepts with over 350 combinations. www.geberit.it
