THE ART OF PLISSÉ

With the small exhibition PLISSÉ, which is a foretaste of the wonders of the FLA in the museum below, the artist plays with shapes, with volumes, with the details of abstract, dreamed clothes, which sometimes escape from the material, catalyzed resin, of which they are a part, or expand in light flights, as if propelled by the wind. The reference to real designers, from the past, is only implied, a subtle trace that links real fashion to the imagined fashion of art.
In this sense goes the video dedicated to the work of Issey Miyake, the extraordinary Japanese fashion-designer who made pleating a philosophy of universal dress.
His art-pieces with imposing volumes that expand with movement, or the subtle Please Pleats of all colors designed for everyday wear that take the shapes of the body underneath, dance in books dedicated to him and tell women that there is a way to dress the same yet different, because even more important than the dress is the personality of the wearer.
An origami of pleated fabric forever is a precious ally, while a white resin high relief dresses the wall in front of you. Miyake and Lucchini, friends who have shared great fashion moments, at FLA with PLISSÉ are once again together.

ApritiModa - which has as institutional partners Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte, Lineapelle - Unic and the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and Business and Made in Italy, as well as the City of Milan, Fondazione Altagamma and Fai - is the event that for one weekend a year encourages the opening of the places where Made in Italy fashion is born every day to guide the discovery of the masterpieces of the territory and that this year offers hundreds of appointments in the area, for all tastes and desires.
