From 6 February, Milan sheds its skin. With MuseoCity and the section “Museums in the Window”, art steps outside museum walls and takes over the streets, for the entire duration of the Olympic Games and through 15 March.

More than twenty galleries and boutiques become unexpected stages for artworks, objects, and archival materials from over thirty museums, turning the city into a widespread museum to be discovered step by step, window by window.

Among the must-see addresses is Via della Spiga 26, where the FLA FlavioLucchiniArt Museum brings two artworks by Flavio Lucchini — Dress Memory no. 44 and Dress Memory no. 45 — to the window of the historic Atelier Emé, the Italian bridal and occasionwear maison founded in 1961.
Here, the dress is not worn: it is contemplated. The Dress Memory works are essential visions — white fiberglass bas-reliefs that capture the emotion of a garment, moving along the subtle boundary between fashion, memory, and art. A natural encounter with the aesthetic of Atelier Emé, where clothing becomes storytelling and identity.
Sealing this liaison between art and couture, on 4 March Atelier Emé will open its doors to the public for a special presentation of the artworks, accompanied by a welcome cocktail.
Not to be missed is also a second window dedicated to Flavio Lucchini: at art.box, the window gallery of Superstudio Più, other Dress Memory pieces narrate the artist’s aesthetic through the most sophisticated textile processes, forever impressed into matter.
