12 am - What’s Next: Envisioning the Future Through Design, Technology, and Nature
What future lies ahead, and what role will design and technology play in shaping it? This is the question at the heart of the talk «What’s Next: Envisioning the Future Through Design, Technology, and Nature», organised in cross promotion with ICFF. The conversation invites audiences to reflect on emerging scenarios and new design perspectives, proposing a vision in which innovation and sensitivity intersect, outlining an increasingly integrated approach across disciplines, skills and languages. The dialogue between design and technology is framed by leading figures such as Marcel Wanders and Giulio Cappellini as a continuous, strategic process, one capable of generating solutions that move beyond aesthetics or function to make a tangible impact on quality of life. In this context, design takes on a broader responsibility: interpreting social change, anticipating needs and shaping more sustainable futures.
Speakers:
Sergio Nava, Architect and Designer, Director of Education at Istituto Marangoni Milano
Matteo Agati, Founder and Creative Director, Matteo Agati Design Studio
Marcel Wanders, Designer and Art Director, co-founder of Moooi
Mr. Sawai, General Manager, Honda Advanced Design Studio
Odile Hainaut, Brand Director for ICFF and co-founder of WantedDesign
Laura Vella, Head of Superstudio Design

2.30 pm - The Mad Turner: passion and madness between making and imagining
Design often emerges from an unstable balance between rigour and intuition, method and experimentation. This is the ground explored by the talk «The Mad Turner: passion and madness between making and imagining», a conversation that shines a light on the relationship between project, industry and creative research, placing craftsmanship at the heart of innovation. Three authoritative voices of Italian design take the stage: architect, designer and art director Giulio Cappellini, Compasso d’Oro-winning designer Giulio Iacchetti, and Alberto Alessi, President of the iconic Alessi brand. Through this trio, different experiences and perspectives intersect to investigate “making” as a space for experimentation, where passion, design culture and creative freedom become tools for rethinking the future of design. The talk unfolds as a dynamic moment of reflection, where industrial production meets experimentation and design research returns to being an open laboratory for new possibilities.
Speakers:
Giulio Cappellini, Architect, Designer and Art Director
Giulio Iacchetti, Designer
Alberto Alessi, President, Alessi
