EGYENES LABIRINTUS KÖR. THE MAGIC OF LIGHT

Gaspar Bonta features his first collection, “Heavy Lightness”. Almost invisible objects are made visible by the effects of light on the transparency of the material, as well as soft colors of concrete vases.

At the intersection of art and design, "Heavy Lightness" explores the border between physical space and experience, through a process that culminates in the design product. His collection is made from plexi geometric furniture inspired by his grandfather’s sculptures, or concrete vases that are influenced by the ceramics of his grandmother, showing a nostalgic and familiar design on an imaginary conceptual stage. The collection focuses more on the experience of what we can and cannot see: heavy, solid objects, yet phantom-like due to their transparency, changing color depending on the viewer’s position, and casting the shadow of the complementary color of the illuminated surface. It results in a prismatic interplay of various tones, with the object taking on all the colors of the world.
