FASHION/ART MUSEUM AND NEW EXHIBITION. The next stop is at the end of the large area of the Superstudio Più complex, beyond the internal restaurant Dada Cafè. And it allows the discovery of an extraordinary place, complementary but independent from the hectic events held in the opposite pavilions. It is FLAVIOLUCCHINIART, the personal museum of the artist and founder of the Superstudio group, Flavio Lucchini, who transformed his atelier and his warehouse into a museum active on many fronts, where hundreds of art works (all investigating the female dress as a metaphor for society) created in the last thirty years, are collected.
In the artist's atelier, the exhibition "Gold. Fashion Idols" recounts the almost religious sense of certain very modern works that recall ancient Russian icons, or the abstract beauty of idols-dresses, simulacra of modern reality. Just as the painter Morandi portrayed his metaphysical bottles and other still lifes, so Lucchini leaves to fashion (to the success of which he has long contributed as an art-director and publisher) the task of telling us about the change in costume and the lesson of beauty through paintings, sculptures, bas-reliefs and a film that testifies to the fashion scenario of the last five decades. Permanent display and exhibition "Gold. Fashion Idols" – Until May 25. FlavioLucchiniArt - Superstudio Più – via Tortona 27 – Milano 20144. info@flaviolucchiniart.com
ART&DESIGN IN THE CITY . Lucchini's works come out of their Museum and enter into life, chosen by Giorgetti, a prestigious name in luxury-design furniture, which during Miart opens the doors of its elegant showroom in Via Serbelloni 14 with the double exhibition "Giorgetti walks with Art": contemporary art and a preview of the 2022 furniture collection. A wide selection of Lucchini's works, proposed by Oblong Gallery and selected by the art-director Giancarlo Bosio, is harmoniously inserted in the rooms next to the works of other famous artists - Stefano Bombardieri, Igor Mitoraj, Mario Arlati...- from the same gallery. The design experts - but not only - will be able to see how the precious sculptures in gold leaf or gilded bronze, the totems in cor-ten steel, the graphic paintings, the contemporary bas-reliefs interpret, purifying it, the essence of fashion. AN UN-EXPECTED FAIR! The following weekend another great and innovative event stirs the waters of the art world. It's (un)-fair. A countercurrent fair and, as the name says, a non-fair, unexpected, unconventional, different, dedicated to those artists, collectors and galleries that are changing the contemporary art scene and moving into the future. It will take place on the second weekend of April at Superstudio Maxi, third location of the Superstudio group and new cultural point in via Moncucco, in the southern part of the city, at 7 minutes by car from Superstudio Più. The entrance is dominated by the large golden sculpture by Flavio Lucchini, architect and artist, once again a protagonist, who designed it starting from the recovery of an old abandoned steel factory. (un)-fair – From 7th to 10th April. Superstudio Maxi – via Moncucco 35 – Milan 20142– info@superstudioevents.com
