AN AUTUMN AGENDA IN PROGRESS

A calendar full of events, welcome returns and new initiatives awaits us in the next few months at Superstudio Più and Superstudio Maxi. Obviously, we cannot forget to mention the hectic activity of the photographic studios at Superstudio 13 and in the new Studio 4. The visits to the fashion/art museum FlavioLucchiniArt must be added to this, along with other artistic collaborations. Moreover, Superstudio will offer many options for Christmas dinners. While the pandemic seems a distant bad memory at Superstudio, the post-pandemic reopenings are a long-awaited reality. Here are some previews of the events:

Superstudio Più

PIZZA VILLAGE AT HOME (B2C)
28-31 October
From 28 to 31 October at Superstudio Più PIZZA VILLAGE returns for the second year as the best moment to celebrate and promote pizza, included in December 2017 in the UNESCO World Heritage list. Born ten years ago as a festival on the Caracciolo promenade in Naples, PIZZA VILLAGE soon crossed the boundaries of the city of Campania region, reaching not only Milan, but also international metropolises: New York, London and Dubai. Then, 2019 recorded the largest number of visitors (more than a million), which is an important sign of the success of this huge popular festival dedicated to the most excellent symbol of Italian cuisine.

THE LOVE AFFAIR (B2C)
6-7 November
Now in its seventh edition (after four years of stop) THE LOVE AFFAIR event returns to Superstudio Più with great excitement of everybody. It is a long-awaited event by Italian wedding industry, where more than 80 exhibitors will exhibit all the latest trends of marriage in Italy, while making this occasion the best showcase to promote unique artisans in the capital of Lombardy.

Superstudio Maxi

ABILMENTE – IL SALONE DELLE IDEE CREATIVE (B2C)
4-7 November
An unmissable event. From 4 to 7 November Superstudio Maxi is ready to host ABILMENTE – THE EXHIBITION OF CREATIVE IDEAS, that will present the most interesting and recent innovations in the field of textile craftsmanship, materials and craft workshops. Cucito su di te–dressmaking lab will be a space dedicated to DIY fashion, where spinning and modeling courses will be run; the Paper 'N' Joy initiative will collect numerous creative talents, showing how to reuse old paper usually considered to be thrown away, discovering its unlimited potential as a material. A DAMS project ends the 2021 celebrations of the 700th anniversary from the death of Dante Alighieri with the fiber art work INFERNO 3000, a textile model made with 50 km of yarn, reproducing Dante's Inferno in a futuristic key. INFERNO 3000 will be then accompanied by a journey into the future among sculpture-dresses to wear.

IL SALONE DELLA CULTURA (B2C)
20-21 November
From 20 to 21 November, Superstudio celebrates the readers’ communities and the book in three sections: the new book, the used book, that is a second-hand object, and the ancient book represented by the A.L.A.I. (Associazione Librai Antiquari d'Italia). The Festival IL SALONE DELLA CULTURA at its fifth edition is transformed into the largest bookstore in Italy with over 500,000 books on display. There will be numerous cultural events: workshops, such as the one about acting, cultural conferences, but, above all, exhibitions ranging from photography to sculpture, from art prints to thematic display. Previous editions set up many relevant and high-level exhibitions, such as 3M Foundation dedicated to Elio Luxardo and then Ghitta Carell; the exhibition on the great designer and graphic designer Giancarlo Iliprandi; the one on the great artist Emilio Isgrò and the photographer Folco Quilici.
