The excitement for the upcoming major event, the Festival dello Spettacolo at the end of October, is already palpable at Superstudio Più, which is used to exceptional events. But this one promises to be truly special, grand yet friendly, as explained by Aldo Vitali, director of Tv Sorrisi e Canzoni, who is its creator and art director. Three days of meetings with the brightest stars, face to face.

1. In the Milan of events, where every weekend is devoted to showcasing a cultural, entertaining, or spectacular theme, what will the Festival dello Spettacolo bring that’s new?
First of all, it will bring about 150 leading figures from the world of entertainment, something never seen before. And it will offer an overview of the state of entertainment in Italy in all its forms, cinema, TV, music, sports, and so on.

2.  With the Festival dello Spettacolo, Milan seems to join the ranks of the most important festivals of its kind, Cannes, Rome, Venice... Will there be juries and awards, or is the event based on something different and more creative, as is fitting in this case?
There will be no juries, the spirit of the festival is closely linked to the mission of TV Sorrisi e Canzoni, which is to bring readers (in this case, spectators) as close as possible to the stars of entertainment. There will be no competitions, but a few Telegatti will appear by surprise...

3. The “theatre” of the event is not the classic red carpet leading to a central stage that separates stars and audience. Superstudio Più is like a small village that seems to encourage encounters between celebrities and spectators and reduce distances. How did you imagine it?
We chose Superstudio Più because, besides being a prestigious and well-known venue in a strategic area of the city, it has the special feature of being adaptable according to needs. The versatility of Superstudio Più will make the event even more spectacular.

4. The protagonists are celebrities from every field: television, cinema, theatre, music, cooking... it won’t be easy to manage hierarchies. No fear of clashes between divas?
No, because for us all the guests of the festival are protagonists on the same level, there are no preferences or hierarchies. And the friendly atmosphere of the event also encourages unexpected encounters between the stars.

5. Superstudio Più is a multicultural hub based on creativity that houses many spaces dedicated to contemporary art, such as Flavio Lucchini’s fashion-art museum and the installation dedicated to Giorgio Armani’s influence on the artist, a non-conventional art gallery with the sculpture exhibition “Dolls&Dolls”, an art garden, and a large installation of Michelangelo Pistoletto’s Third Paradise on the roof. Can art be an additional opportunity offered to visitors?
Certainly, these installations will make visitors’ experience even more surprising and exciting.

6. Mondadori is an important publisher, Tv Sorrisi e Canzoni a historic and unique popular magazine. What is the editorial mission behind this pop and spectacular initiative?
The mission, as already mentioned, is to make the brand’s closeness to readers and spectators “physical”. Our approach is familiar, friendly, far from gossip and controversy. Instead of feeling close to the stars through interviews and social posts, readers and spectators will experience this closeness in person.

7. What does its creator, Aldo Vitali, dream of as he awaits the fateful last weekend of October when his Festival dello Spettacolo will come to life?
I dream that it will be the beginning of a long story. For us, this edition is more like an “edition zero” than a first one: we will learn day by day what we did well and what we can improve in future editions.
