A CATWALK AT YOUR CLICK

Recent digital experiments to give new life to fashion shows even in the persistence of the pandemic have generated the first entirely virtual Milan Fashion Week. And this is not the only novelty: in general innovation there are interesting grafts that bring fashion closer to the people, to the metissage in progress, to the free inventiveness of creative directors who have taken over the leadership of well-known brands and to new designers who are totally free from the rules of good dressing, flanked by the most consolidated names by lasting successes of Italian fashion.

The National Chamber of Italian Fashion, with a sort of "governance of broad agreements" in the interest of the fashion community and the fashion economy, from Tuesday 23 February to 1 March invites its "citizens" (press, professional, buyers) but not only, to follow the usual rite of the catwalks in smart-working or from the armchair at home, making what seemed a temporary alternative increasingly a habit of the Fashion Week.
After the opening tribute to Beppe Modenese, Honorary President of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, who passed away on November 21, 2020, with a video directed by Beniamino Barrese, a hot "political" theme enters, underlined with irony: "WE ARE MADE IN ITALY - The Fab Five Bridge Builders ". Developed by the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, the project "Black Lives Matter in Italian Fashion", curated by Stella Jean, Edward Buchanan, Michelle Francine Ngonmo, emphasizes the values ​​of inclusion and multiculturalism and highlights the talent of five POCs (people of color) talents.
