PHOTOGALLERY: COVERS BY FLAVIO LUCCHINI

A taste of Flavio Lucchini's creative revolution. In the space The Lab at the FLA Museum, a small exhibition tells the story of Lucchini's visionary genius, retracing the key milestones of a journey that transformed fashion publishing: from his early innovations at Amica to Vogue and L’Uomo Vogue, up to Donna and other publications that defined an era. Through the most iconic covers, the portrait of an emancipated woman emerges, free from stereotypes, eager to assert her own worth—not just a beauty icon, but a protagonist of society. In the 1960s, 70s, and 80s, Lucchini not only revolutionized the image of women but also broke the rigid rules of editorial design, shattering conventions and introducing innovative layouts. He bet on new talents, launching designers like a young Giorgio Armani and choosing Italian models and everyday women, more intellectual, more real, capable of embodying change. Alongside him, emerging photographers like Oliviero Toscani, Giovanni Gastel, and Fabrizio Ferri, who under his guidance would become the great masters of contemporary photography.
