An evolved taxi, electric, sustainable, modular, multifunction, it seems to be any driver's dream. A project that the company Etioca has made possible with Miner, presented in the spaces in Via Tortona 27.
The automotive world since the beginning has been able to understand and interact with Superstudio Più's DNA as a gate to present trends, novelties and anticipations through artistic contaminations or technological defiances.
From the very first car entirely designed by a team of women (Volvo) to the futuristic truck designed by Luigi Colani, from Tesla's Cybertruck to the modular vehicle by Rinspeed that within the 2018 Superdesign Show anticipated an electric, multiplatform prototype that was indicating the future of community transport.
Etioca, with a project that somehow follow the direction indicated by Rinspeed, goes beyond the limit and present its electric modular taxi that is also a business model, a sort of "ecosystem" that in a sustainable way could generate an economic growth among partners (industrial design, services, fintech, media).
Miner, this is the name of the vehicle, won't be out to be purchased: the owner of the taxi licence will be able to obtain it in use from Etioca at 0,99 cents per km, considered the average cost per km in Europe.
The Israeli entrepreneur and Etioca Ceo Mark Ishakov started from the acquisition of the historical Italian maker Carrozzeria Coggiola, being able to obtain the precious manufacturer licence. Then Ishakov involved another big name, Giorgietto and Fabrizio Giugiaro and they focused on the creation of the "ANNA" platform: a modular base for different configurations, from taxi to fire prevention to police vehicle. The user, through the proprietary app, will be able to see and manage a number of parameters such as distance, destination and so on, while the driver will be able to merge his whole management and financial activity through the Etioca software. Within 2024 Etioca plans to have on the road 10.000 Miner. Mark Ishakov declared "We intend to lead the cultural and social change toward mobility by offering solutions that will be environment-friendly and that would generate a better quality of life for future generations".
