Italy crossed by the Toro car and immortalized in several shots of 21 important photographers, one per region plus the exceptional participation in Sicily, from her Palermo, of an icon, the great Letizia Battaglia. Today's useless controversy about the great photographer and her images doesn’t take away from the quality of the project. "With Italy, for Italy" initiative desired by Lamborghini can count on the photographer Stefano Guindani’s artistic direction - who chose Sicily as his set - and it will result first in a book and then into a traveling exhibition.

"It is a source of great pride and responsibility for me to have taken care of this initiative’s artistic direction and be able to promote our Country’s unique features". With these words Stefano Guindani expresses the emotion felt in visiting the most hidden places of Sicily for "With Italy, For Italy" project. A great photo project which celebrates Italian beauties in order to enhance their quality and identity.
How did the idea for this photographic project come about?
It came about during the last lockdown, to look to the future, to our country’s realunch, as traditionally Sant’Agata Bolognese-based automotive company, a symbol of Italy, has always done. Pictures, with reports made in summer, involve the most representative models of Lamborghini range, from the Sián Roadster to Aventador SVJ, the Super SUV Urus, the nimble Huracán up to several Company's classic cars such as Miura, Countach and Diablo. They will become a book at Christmastime and an exhibition to be seen when we hope it will be possible for all of us to travel and visit museums again.
For "With Italy, For Italy" project, you have chosen to capture some of the most fascinating places in Sicily...
When I was proposed the project, I did not hesitate to choose it. I wanted to experience the famous sunsets of Saline di Marsala, truly a special wonder, I returned to Etna where it’s like being on the Moon, and then Catania, Taormina, Caltagirone, Ortigia, Scicli, Ragusa, Modica, Punta Secca in Montalbano’s house, and then Agrigento, Segesta, the Cretto di Burri di Gibellina which gave me a very strong feeling. There are perhaps two or three places still to visit that I only discovered later, such as the Teatro di Andromeda and Cefalù, but there will be other opportunities to come back.
Italy will have a global echo with "With Italy, For Italy"...
"With Italy, For Italy" is a project of great cultural and social value created in a period in which Italy is facing a serious crisis having to face major challenges. The Lamborghini brand with this project wanted to demonstrate an act of love and gratitude for our Country.
A sector that is very affected by the current stop is that of fashion, which you know well: what do you think?
The pause in fashion could also become propitious, after this difficult moment which, with the drop in production and therefore in sales, leads to a decrease also in advertising investment. The sector, however, had to slow down, it was going too fast, as Armani was able to say and interpret immediately on this occasion. In fact, he even had the most interesting communication ideas. TV remains a medium not to be overlooked in the presence of digital, because in any case, honestly, one thing I find boring, fashion show in live streaming, even if it seems today the only solution.
