Long-awaited and desired and, perhaps because of that, even more exciting, is the last-minute presence of Noom, a young Ukrainian firm founded in 2017 that speaks a language rich in contaminations of art, craftsmanship and design.
Despite the war, Noom managed to carve out a safe corner to finish the production of a symbolic living room designed by designer Kateryna Sokolova and to bring it to Milan in time for our event. The "Puriosity" collection, starting from its title, speaks of purity and simplicity starting from the suggestions of one of the most important artists of the 20th century, the exponent of the Suprematist style, Kazimir Malevic. His geometric style, the rigorousness of forms are echoed in the collection's basic furnishings, the Gropius chair, the Brandt coffee table, the Suprematic series vases, and the Orb candleholders. NOOM's objects are functional and synthetic, simple and straightforward, but at the same time they present an appealing aesthetic, capable of exciting, entertaining and stimulating in an evocative and playful combination of art and design.
